ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to oversee refurbishment projects across aged care and retirement living facilities in Salamander Bay, Koombala, Newcastle, and surrounding suburbs.

As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of onsite operations, ensuring all refurbishment work is completed according to scope, to a high standard, and within scheduled timelines. You will coordinate tradespeople and subcontractors, manage project scheduling, and ensure strict adherence to Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards

This is a full-time permeant position, reporting to a Senior Project Manager. Normal working hours are 7 AM - 3 PM, Monday to Friday. Company Vehicle, Fueld Card provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and coordinate all onsite construction and refurbishment activities

Ensure works are completed to scope, quality, and safety requirements

Schedule and manage tradespeople and subcontractors

Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks

Monitor and enforce WHS compliance onsite

Liaise with project managers and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project updates

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional site environment

Supervise and direct the activities of on-site workers and subcontractors.

Ensure sub-contractors inducted, sign in, and compliant in rapid

Oversee the daily construction onsite, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.

Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for the Project Manager.

Conduct quality inspections and ensure that any defects are corrected

Conduct weekly site inspections and audits in Rapid Induct to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.

Ensure all documentations are up to date and properly filed in SharePoint

REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience in a similar Site Supervisor , Foreman or Leading Hand, ideally within aged care or retirement living projects

Strong knowledge of building and safety regulations

Ability to read and interpret plans and scopes of work

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

Trade qualification in carpentry, electrical work, or be a qualified builder

Experience in similar refurbishment projects

White Card and current driver’s licence

Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

Valid work rights in Australia

Valid driver’s license

Covid Vaccinated

Willing to get Flu Vaccination annually
