The Role
As Irrigation Supervisor at a high-density olive orchard near Narrandera, you’ll play a key role in the daily management of irrigation operations. Your work will ensure optimal water delivery in line with crop plans and broader farm development goals. This is a hands-on opportunity to build technical expertise and step into a leadership pathway.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement daily irrigation and fertigation plans alongside the Farm Manager
• Monitor soil moisture, weather data, and crop indicators to optimise water use
• Conduct field inspections and troubleshoot issues in real time
• Maintain detailed irrigation and fertigation records
• Service and repair pumps, filters, valves, and emitters to keep systems running smoothly
• Operate irrigation software and control systems effectively
• Ensure compliance with WHS policies and safe work practices

What You’ll Bring

• Practical experience with irrigation systems in farm or orchard settings
• Strong focus on water efficiency and system performance
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence in problem-solving
• Familiarity with soil moisture monitoring and irrigation control tools
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a broader team
• Chemical handling accreditation or willingness to obtain one

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to horticultural production, particularly high-density systems
• Previous experience in a supervisory role
• Ambition to grow into an Irrigation Manager position
