The opportunity for an experienced National Sales Manager to join the Xero Lighting Group, located in Glendenning, NSW, has become available. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead national sales strategy and execution, with full responsibility for team performance, major project outcomes, and revenue growth. You will also assist in providing product training and sales support to our regional offices.
In support of the Managing Director and within required deadlines, your responsibilities will include:
• Training and support of our Regional sales teams throughout Australia and New Zealand in support of sales goals
• Monitor major projects to ensure appropriate, timely responses from stakeholders
• Build and lead a high-performing national sales team through strategic hiring, capability development, and rigorous performance management
• Set, communicate, and enforce clear performance targets aligned to company growth objectives, with real time coaching and KPI tracking
• Managing the sales pipeline
• Developing and maintaining client relationships with national accounts
• Leverage sales analytics to uncover key trends and swiftly adjust strategy to drive optimal outcomes
• Overseeing the sales budget and ensuring efficient resource allocation
• Regularly providing feedback on performance and conducting performance evaluations to the team
• Collaborate with the engineering, production and operations teams to align product capabilities with project needs.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to ensure that our products remain at the forefront of the market.
The Xero Lighting Group expects that you would have:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an equivalent role
• Tertiary business degree in management, marketing or a similar field
• Proven ability to organise, plan and meet deadlines in a busy, fast-paced team
• Demonstrated experience building or transforming a high-performance sales team in a B2B environment
• Track record of exceeding national sales targets across multiple regions or business units
• Proficiency in sales forecasting, pipeline analysis and CRM based performance management
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate market trends into executable sales plans
• Demonstrated attention to detail with high levels of accuracy in MS Excel, CRM systems management, customer list maintenance and acquisition, data harvesting and interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to communicate with key stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of all tasks and plans
• Ability to support others is crucial in this role
• Proven success in consultative selling and securing specifications in complex, high-value projects
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments such as marketing, sales, supply and production
• A passion for quality and customer service
• Motivation and enthusiasm
• Ability to travel interstate to regional offices
• Experience in commercial lighting, construction, or specification-driven industries preferred
