Our client is a well-established, privately owned organisation that specialises in high performance industrial coatings and related solutions that protect and repair machinery, structures, plant and equipment from corrosion, wear, abrasion and chemical attack. The organisation operates through a network of state bases branches, and employ a specialist team around Australia, many of whom have been with the business long term. Currently, there is an opportunity to jon the team in the role of Technical Sales Representative QLD
Reporting to the Managing Director, some of your key areas of focus and involvement will be the following;
- Maintaining strong working relationships with current and prospective customers throughout Central QLD and the broader QLD region;
- Actively prospecting for new business to drive continual growth;
- Booking and conducting regular face to face meetings with current and prospective clients to understand their needs and challenges;
- Providing product solutions and recommendations to clients based on their needs and your observations;
- Preparing quotations and responding to tenders and enquiries in a timely manner;
- Oversee the smooth and on time delivery of projects;
- Assisting in the preparation of relevant safety and quality documents; and
- Maintaining accurate customer records, forecasting and providing management with regular market updates.
Required Experience
- Prior sales, account management, customer service or relevant technical experience, preferably within the industrial sector;
- Highly motivated, keen to learn and career orientated;
- Customer focused with strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Well-developed time management and problem-solving skills;
- Reliable, hardworking and capable of working in a team or autonomously; and
- Sound computer skills and the ability to pick up on technical training.
