About the role

We are seeking a driven and customer-focused New Patient Intake Officer to join our team at The Naturopathy Clinic, a leading provider of functional naturopathic and nutritional services in North Sydney.

This is a part time role, hybrid between working at the clinic and working from home. Hours can be flexible for the right person. If you're children are in school, we can rotate the schedule to work around you.

The position is one of the most important roles in our clinic. You'll be the first point of contact with our patients, helping ensure they are ready to work with us, holding space for women that are struggling with their health and body identity, and helping ensure they are in a financial space to work with us.

You'll be speaking with peri/post menopausal women most of the time, some parents of children with sensory challenges, and the occasional male (often the partner).

What you'll be doing

20 to 30 phone introductory consultations weekly, roughly 30 to 40 minutes long.

Collect and document detailed intake information, including medical history, contact details, and patient goals

Provide a thorough walk through of how our clinic works, next steps, and discussing financial investment when working with us. (You will also be taking a deposit on this call.)

If an introductory consultation on your schedule doesn't show up, you'll help us fill gaps in the schedule, by going to the list of tests that have arrived to prioritise helping patients start treatment. OR you'll reach out to patients who missed an appointment that need to be rescheduled.

Contribute to a positive and professional patient experience from the first point of contact

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a inside sales or phone sales role is a plus.

You LOVE to talk to people and learn about hormone & metabolic issues. You could talk to people all day!

Extraordinary empathy and compassion for health struggles, especially weight gain.

Strong desire to help women going through peri/post menopause.

Passion for natural health and nutrition OR a personal experience with naturopathy or functional medicine that personally helped you.

Comfortable talking about money and investing in a personal health journey. It's important for our patients to understand how we work and the investment. You may need to spend 10-15 minutes discussing this with a patient, then taking a small deposit to get them started.

A genuine interest in holistic and integrative healthcare approaches

A desire to work for a purpose-based company and feel rewarded on a daily basis, knowing you're making a real difference.
