ABOUT THE COMPANY
My client is a locally owned, well-established supplier of construction products used on commercial, high-rise residential, and civil projects.
They work directly with builders, contractors, and developers and are known for being reliable, practical, and easy to deal with. Their range covers the essentials—formwork gear, waterproofing systems, sealants, grouts, concrete accessories, and structural fixings—the stuff that keeps a site running.
They’re growing, but not corporate. You’ll be backed by a knowledgeable team, trusted to manage your patch, and supported to succeed.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on business development role covering Sydney and surrounds. You’ll be out meeting with builders and site teams, uncovering what projects are coming up, and helping them choose the right products for the job.
Your focus will be on building relationships, tracking projects, quoting jobs, and working with the internal team to make sure supply runs smoothly. You’re not here to be a middleman—you’re a trusted partner to your customers.
A typical week might involve:
Dropping into sites to check in with foremen and PMs
Sitting down with an estimator to quote an upcoming job
Recommending the best solution for a tricky waterproofing issue
Following up on quotes and locking in supply
Updating your CRM and chatting with the warehouse team about lead times
You’ll have a mix of new business and account management—plenty of room to grow your base while still looking after long-term customers.
WHAT THEY SELL
You’ll be representing a solid range of construction site essentials, including:
Formwork systems (timber, modular, steel)
Waterproofing membranes, grouts, and sealants
Concrete accessories and site consumables
Structural fixings and fastening systems
Builders know these products, they use them on every job, and they care about quality and service—which is where you come in.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who knows how to talk to builders. You understand how sites operate and you’re comfortable getting into the technical side of things.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Sales or business development experience in construction products or trade supplies
Existing relationships with builders, contractors, or developers
Confidence reading plans and discussing technical details
A practical mindset—you listen, ask the right questions, and offer useful solutions
Strong follow-up and the ability to keep multiple jobs moving
You don’t need to be an engineer—you just need to know how to have a decent conversation on site and help get the job done.
SALARY & BENEFITS
BASE $90,000 - $120,000 | Super 11.5% | Car OR Car Allowance | Commissions
