My client is a respected, Australian-owned supplier of laboratory and scientific equipment with a strong presence across the research, medical, education, and industrial sectors.
Known for delivering quality products and expert support, they provide labs with everything from temperature-controlled equipment (ovens, fridges, incubators) to liquid handling systems, balances, and general lab gear. They’re not the biggest, but they’re trusted—and growing steadily thanks to great customer service and solid products.

THE ROLE
Based in Melbourne and covering a VIC territory, this is a hands-on, business development role focused on both winning new accounts and growing existing ones.
You’ll be selling into a range of labs and organisations including:
Universities and research institutes
Hospital and pathology labs
Biotech and pharma companies
Food, environmental, and agricultural testing labs
Government and industrial R&D facilities
Your day-to-day will include:
Visiting customers on-site to understand their needs
Demonstrating and recommending lab equipment
Managing a growing pipeline of opportunities
Preparing quotes and working closely with internal teams
Keeping your CRM updated and your territory ticking along
This is a technical sales role, but you don’t need to be a scientist—as long as you’re curious and confident explaining products, you’ll do well.
ABOUT YOU
You’re a confident B2B sales professional who thrives in a technical sales environment. Ideally, you have experience selling laboratory and scientific equipment—but we’re also keen to hear from you if you’ve sold similar products into industries like healthcare, medical devices, diagnostics, industrial supplies, or anything that requires a consultative, solutions-based sales approach.
What matters most is that you’re:
Skilled at building relationships and uncovering customer needs
Comfortable talking to lab managers, scientists, and procurement teams
Organised and proactive when it comes to managing your pipeline
Able to learn technical products quickly and explain them clearly
Someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers find the right solution
If you’ve sold into labs, hospitals, universities, or R&D teams—even better.
SALARY & BENEFITS
BASE $85,000 - $115,000 | Super 11.5% | Car | Commissions
