Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Manager to drive sales in the small-scale commercial solar sector (6.6kW to 100kW). This role will primarily focus on engaging with small business owners, including not-for-profit organisations, and will involve initiating conversations with cold leads, preparing accurate quotations, analysing energy usage, and successfully closing deals.
This is a remote position, offering flexibility to work from home while collaborating with teams and partners across the country.
Key Responsibilities
Initiate conversations with cold leads and convert them into successful sales.
Prepare accurate quotations that meet CEC standards by identifying key elements in electrical switchboards.
Analyse electrical bills and convert interval data to provide accurate cost assessments.
Engage with potential clients, build strong relationships, and drive sales to completion.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
Collaborate with the sales team to achieve revenue targets and company goals.
Performance Measures
Consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
High conversion rates from initial outreach to closed sales.
Strong relationship management with commercial clients, leading to repeat business and referrals.
Accurate and timely CRM updates for lead tracking and sales pipeline management.
Skills & Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ sales experience in small-scale commercial solar and battery.
Strong technical understanding of small-scale solar systems.
Demonstrated experience in providing accurate quotes for solar projects, ensuring all client specifications are addressed while delivering detailed and competitive pricing.
Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship management skills.
Proven track record of achieving a high conversion rate and successfully closing deals, especially from cold leads.
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and a team player.
CEC Solar Designer Accreditation is desired.
