THE OPPORTUNITY


Classification: $66,921 - $72,661 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading.
Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.
Location: Moorabbin campus.
Position Status: Fixed-Term appointment until 30 June 2026.

The Registrars Department, comprising the Awards & Graduations unit, the Information Systems Team, Holmesglen Assist, the Office of the Registrar, and the Timetable Office, serves as the foundation of academic administration. It meticulously oversees student records, enrolment processes, and compliance with institutional policies and procedures. The department is responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential student data, facilitating seamless registration, and ensuring that students meet prerequisites and degree requirements. Additionally, it coordinates class schedules, manages graduation processes, and provides timely services to a high service standard to prospective, current, and former students, as well as to Holmesglen staff and the general public.

Commonwealth Prac Payments are the new Federal government initiative that is designed to ease financial challenges for students who are undertaking a mandatory placement in critical work areas. Eligible Holmesglen domestic Nursing students will soon have additional financial support as they complete their training.

As part of the Holmesglen Assist team in the Registrars Department, the Commonwealth Prac Payments Coordinator is the first point of contact for Bachelor/Diploma of Nursing students applying for Commonwealth Prac Payments.

The role is responsible for providing guidance and support relating to the CPP process, assessing eligibility, liaising with the Practical Placement and Finance Teams and arranging payments for eligible students The coordinator will assist students with understanding the application and eligibility process and ensure that all concerns are addressed in a fair, impartial and timely manner. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the system to manage and maintain student records regarding Commonwealth Prac Payments.

ABOUT YOU

  • A relevant qualification in education, customer service, or a related field or lesser qualifications with relevant experience.
  • Experience in the use of InPlace student placement software is preferred.
  • The ability to follow policy, procedure and guidelines and maintain confidentiality in a highly regulated complex environment
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain process clearly and professionally to students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage a range of enquiries and applications, ensuring that simple issues are resolved efficiently while using judgement and analysis to decide when to escalate more complex matters.
  • Proficiency in maintaining databases and keeping accurate records, ensuring that Commonwealth Prac Payments related data is consistently updated and easily accessible.
  • Time management, planning and organisation of workload to ensure all deadlines are met.
