We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards. This role is suited to individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Examine food to ensure quality and freshness.

· Prepare and cook meals using a variety of methods such as frying, grilling, baking, boiling, and roasting.

· Season and cook food according to recipes, personal judgment, or experience.

· Portion, arrange, and garnish food to ensure attractive presentation.

· Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.

· Maintain cleanliness and comply with food hygiene standards in the kitchen.

· Store food in temperature-controlled environments and monitor stock levels.

· Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure food preparation meets service requirements.

· Follow all health and safety guidelines, including correct food handling and sanitation procedures.

· Assist in planning menus and estimating food requirements.

Other requirements are:

1. Work Eligibility: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident) (preferred).

2. Education: Commercial Cookery qualification (at least Certificate IV level or equivalent) and Diploma of Hospitality Management

3. Previous experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in commercial kitchen (at least as a cook)

4. Language: Conversant in English is a must.

5. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.

6. Good communication and time-management skills.

7. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
