We are a family friendly pub located in Wallsend which is a suburb of Newcastle located 11 kilometers from the CBD and approximately 150 kilometers north of Sydney.

We are inviting applicants at all levels to apply. We are looking to employ several chefs, cooks and kitchen hands to join our team at the end of July 2025. All roles are full time and assistance in finding accommodation locally will be offered. We are willing to sponsor the right candidate with a visa. Candidates ideally should have Cert III or Cert IV (preferred) Diploma in commercial cookery and at least 2 years’ experience post qualification as a chef in commercial kitchens.

Cooking responsibilities include:

Cooking al la carte meals

Managing a team of staff in the kitchen

Ensuring that standards are maintained

Ensuring that many meals are cooked to standard within a time frame

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Non-cooking responsibilities include:

Rostering

Menu costing

Training staff

Menu creation

Food prep

Stock control

Purchasing and supplier liaison

Maintaining food safety standards
