About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an engaging, detail-savvy Project Coordinator or Contracts Administrator to join their team.
This pivotal role will provide exemplary support to operations and take ownership of contract and procurement administration across multiple exciting and high-impact projects.
You will work closely and collaborate with the GM, Project Managers and Engineers to ensure quality outcomes and projects are delivered on time and on budget. This is a brand-new role where you can assist with shaping systems and processes from day one and be an integral part of the journey and business success.
The position is full time on-site in their wonderful new CBD offices close to public transport and services.
Key Aspects of the Role
Essential administrative support including document creation & templates
Lead procurement processes including RFQs, tenders, and negotiations
Prepare progress claims, variations, and payment schedules
Ensure contract compliance and maintain accurate records
Liaise with key stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues
Track budgets, monitor cash flow, and manage cost forecasts
Assist with draft, review, and manage head contracts and subcontracts
About You
You will ideally have 5 years’ experience across projects and or contracts administration with preference in the construction industry; however, it is not essential as you will receive relevant support and be mentored.
You are a proactive, solutions focused Administrator or Project & Contracts Coordinator who can manage multiple tasks and work within strict deadlines. You have aligned values of integrity and trust and are passionate in supporting your team to exceed client expectations.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate;
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Key stakeholder engagement experience
Ability to work autonomously and adapt in a fast-paced team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and software programs (Procore, MS Project, Xero)
Proven experience in project or contracts administration within construction or a related field
Solid understanding of building contracts (AS, ABIC) and procurement practices
Confidence in interpreting legal and contractual terms
Experience in commercial fit outs, refurbishments or infrastructure projects
