Full-time Medical Secretary/Office Administrator required for a boutique Surgical Clinic located at Subiaco

  • Full-time position Monday to Friday / some flexibility with start/finish times
  • No weekend work / parking provided / immediate start

Full-time Medical Secretary/Office Administrator required for a boutique Surgical Clinic located at Subiaco. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role with some flexibility with start/finish times if required.

The Role

Our clients are warm and welcoming Colorectal Surgeons who are committed to providing holistic medical care for their patients. The practice is situated in the convenient and vibrant location of Subiaco boasting modern rooms with superior facilities. This role is predominantly an administration role consisting of processing emails, payments, theatre bookings and back-end practice duties with minimal patient interaction. However, when covering leave for other secretaries running clinics and patient facing duties will be expected.

Responsibilities include

  • Overseeing the management of emails
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice
  • Coordinating theatre bookings and patient paperwork
  • Processing invoices, bills and payments using EFTPOS/Medicare & insurance claims
  • Welcoming patients to the practice
  • Providing end-to-end administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the practice
  • Reception and other support duties where required
  • Ability to cover leave of other secretaries including running clinics and very occasionally travel to the Murdoch clinic

About you

  • Demonstrated previous experience as a Medical Receptionist/Secretary (at least 2+ years)
  • Gentu experience preferred
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively and professionally, whilst also being supportive within a team environment
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills both in-person and on the phone with a demonstrated empathetic nature
  • High attention to detail and level of accuracy ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
  • Up to date COVID-19 vaccination & Police Clearance
