About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at the WA Pain Institute in Perth, WA. This is a part-time role (with potential to expand) that will provide crucial administrative support to our medical professionals, ensuring the smooth running of our practice. Hybrid work available with work from home 50%+ of time.

What you'll be doing

Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments

Prepare and maintain accurate medical records and patient files

Assist with the coordination of patient referrals and procedures

Liaise with insurance providers and other healthcare organisations

Provide general administrative support to the medical team

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare environment

Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach when interacting with patients

Proficiency in using medical software and electronic medical record systems (Gentu) desirable but training will be provided
