About the Role

As the Director of Audit & Assurance, you’ll oversee a dynamic team delivering audit and assurance services to a broad range of clients across industries including not-for-profit, government, SME, and ASX-listed entities. You’ll play a key leadership role in shaping the future of our audit function, maintaining technical excellence, and deepening client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements across a diverse client base;
• Provide strategic oversight of the audit and assurance division, including budgeting, resourcing, and compliance;
• Ensure adherence to relevant auditing standards, policies, and regulatory requirements;
• Cultivate and grow key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor;
• Mentor and develop junior and senior team members, fostering a high-performance culture;
• Drive innovation in audit methodology and leverage emerging technologies; and
• Contribute to business development and firm growth initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• CA or CPA qualification;
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in audit and assurance, including senior leadership roles within public practice;
• Deep knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards and relevant regulatory frameworks;
• Proven ability to manage complex audits and lead teams across multiple engagements;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first mindset; and
• Commercial acumen and a passion for innovation in the accounting profession.
