About Gnarly Neighbours
Gnarly Neighbours is a youth-led charity and social enterprise based in Seymour, Victoria. We provide free programs in skateboarding, wellbeing, creative arts, and youth employment — creating safe spaces where young people can belong, be seen, and build brighter futures.
We’re growing fast — and as we launch a bold new national campaign, we’re looking for someone to help bring our message to life through clean, consistent, and emotionally powerful design and communications.
🧠 What You’ll Work On
Your role will support three connected streams:
Gnarly Neighbours – day-to-day brand presence, programs, events, promotions
National Campaign – visual branding, print + digital design, sponsor materials, storytelling
Jayden Sheridan (Founder) – speaker decks, personal brand assets, comms support
🎯 Your Core Responsibilities
Develop and manage brand visuals across campaign, charity, and founder
Design materials including social posts, print flyers, signage, and branded content
Work closely with our team to create impactful comms assets for schools, donors, and partners
Support storytelling through design that communicates lived experience and purpose
Create merchandise-ready graphics that align with campaign energy and youth culture
Help shape our look and feel as we scale into new towns and national media
💡 You’re a Great Fit If You...
Are a versatile designer with strong layout and visual storytelling instincts
Can deliver clean, consistent work across web, print, merch, and socials
Understand community-driven or mission-led campaigns
Work independently but collaborate openly
Are Melbourne-based (or nearby) and able to travel to Seymour occasionally
✨ Bonus Points
(Not required, but a plus!)
Experience in branding for grassroots orgs or social enterprise
Interest in youth culture, skate/streetwear, or social movements
Ability to guide or co-lead on campaign visual direction
📦 The Offer
Contract through September 2025, with option to stay on

Remote-friendly, with some required travel to Seymour and Melbourne meetings
Work on a national campaign, a growing charity, and an authentic personal brand
Join a passionate, lived-experience-led team creating real change
