The Role:
We are seeking dedicated Allied Health Assistant in Speech Therapy & Occupational Therapy to join our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will receive valuable support, supervision, and training from our experienced leadership team, enabling you to excel in your position. Our client demographic primarily consists of paediatric cases; however, we also serve teenagers and adults with additional needs. Unwavering dedication and commitment are of utmost importance in this role.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
To provide Speech therapy & Occupational therapy interventions to children, teenagers and adults.
Run sessions as instructed by the qualified health professional Occupational Therapist/Speech Pathologist with regular supervision.
Complete client notes after each session.
15-20 hours per week, seeing 13-18 clients per week. Each therapy session is 45 minutes.
Travel will be required as sessions take place in clinic, School/Kinder and at the clients’ home.
Build rapport, trust and a great working relationship with your clients and their caregivers.
Experience & Qualifications:
Certificate IV in Allied Heath Assistance Speech Therapy / Occupational Therapy or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, plus 1-year minimum experience working in paediatric care.
Currently studying a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy OR Speech Therapy (2nd Year)
Requirements
Working with Children Check (WCC)
Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current Australian driver's licence and own roadworthy vehicle
Laptop / iPad
Mobile telephone
The pay rate for these roles is based on the Support Services Award 2020. The level will depend on the individual’s qualifications and experience. Travel allowance will also be provided where the employee is required to travel to out of clinic sessions.
