Your Own Way is looking for a Allied Health Assistant to join our team, this is a hybrid role meaning you would work from home and at our service locations across East Gippsland and Latrobe Valley on a casual basis with a view to permanent part-time workload permitting.

🔴About the Role
As an Allied Health Assistant it is expected that your time will consist of both clinical and administrative duties;
Responsible for assisting to deliver all Occupational Therapy services in accordance with Your Own Way's operating procedures and policies
Responsible for servicing participants in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan
Under direction of the Occupational therapists, you may be required to, transport residents to and from the therapy gym area / their appointments
Set up and pack away the Occupational Therapy Products, including cleaning both the area and equipment
Collect referrals and any other administrative tasks as guided by the Occupational Therapist
Order prescribed Assistive Technology
Run exercise groups / programs
Support initiatives to meet client / contract expectations
Consult with the Occupational therapist in relation to adaptations/ changes/ progressions of treatment plans for clients as appropriate
🟢To be successful in this role you will have:
Cert IV Allied Health Assistant or equivalent (Not necessary, however desirable as on job training is provided for the right candidate)
OT/PT or Speech Pathology students are highly encouraged to apply
Health care knowledge (Not necessary but desirable)
Independently deliver treatment plans
Time management and accountability
Clinical knowledge
Communication skills
Must be willing to travel across regional Victoria
Assist our Occupational Therapists with admin tasks based on weekly description
Current valid Driver’s Licence
Current NDIS Screening Check
Current Working with Children Check
Current First-Aid and CPR
Right to Work within Australia
Current Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance (for participant transportation)
Physically capable to attend personal care to participants as required
