Overview

The objective of the Operations Controller role is to fulfill both the clients and project team needs while remaining in compliance with the contractual agreements governing the project.

Core activities & responsibilities:

• Identify business opportunities & threats and coordinate the company’s response
• Review on strategies and investment proposals and coordinate approval if beneficial
• Engage external advice to ensure the company’s responses are robust and legal
• Advise directors on business performance & make recommendations on strategies
• Manage all financial responsibilities and processes
• Manage all human resource responsibilities processes
• Oversee General Management, QHSE, Contract and Business Development functions
• Chair management reviews meetings and support the continuous improvement process
• Participate in audits and attend ISO opening and closing sessions

Experience & Qualification

• Business and finance based education
• 3 years experience in a similar role
• Confident in decision making, using authority and displaying leadership
• Competent in English (written and spoken), presenting and speaking to groups
• Some exposure to metal trade manufacturing preferred
• Awareness of mechanical engineering, materials, engineering documents
• Experience with various software's such as Microsoft 365, MS Project, ERP systems

Other Details

• Training support can be negotiated for work related vocational study in support of an ambition to develop a career in manufacturing.
• Appropriate workwear, safety and inspection equipment will be provided.
• It is a fixed salary staff position.
• Working days are Monday to Friday.
• Working hours are semi flexible across a 6am to 5pm operating window.
