The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced, mature, and reliable Natural Timber Sand & Refinish Technician to work exclusively on Lifewood-installed floors. You will be responsible for sanding, polishing, and refinishing natural timber floors to restore their beauty and longevity.

Key Responsibilities

Expertly sand and refinish Lifewood-installed timber floors, including Australian hardwoods and French Oak.

Apply finishes (polyurethane, hardwax oils, etc.) with precision to industry best practice standards.

Manage your time efficiently to complete quality work on schedule.

Communicate respectfully and effectively with customers, handling challenges calmly and professionally.

Maintain clean, safe, and respectful work environments.

Collaborate with the Lifewood team to uphold our reputation for excellence.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 5 years’ proven experience sanding and refinishing natural timber floors.

Skilled in working with a variety of finishes on high-quality, engineered and solid timber flooring.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering exceptional craftsmanship.

Mature, patient, and able to calmly manage difficult client situations with honesty and integrity.

Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to doing an honest day’s work every day.

Own set of tools preferred, but not essential — willingness to learn and grow is valued.

Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transport.
