In 2012, Pewag Australia was opened – being the first subsidiary in the Southern Hemisphere to support the increasing demand of high-quality chains and their components.

About the role:

Pewag is one of world’s oldest and largest chain manufacturers, with production facilities exclusively based in Europe. Our company designs and manufactures a diverse range of products, serving industries such as lifting and rigging, elevator and hoist, snow chains, and forestry. You would be joining our tyre chain division, which specialises in the production of protection and traction chains for rubber-tyred wheel loaders and off-road machinery. These chains are essential for various industries, including open-pit mining, quarries, underground mining, and other specialised sectors.

Based in Perth, this position is primarily focused on the installation, maintenance, and inspection of our products in the field, ensuring optimal performance and exceeding customer expectations. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, can operate autonomously, and are comfortable managing their own paperwork and service reports.

This role offers a blend of office and field work, requiring mechanical aptitude and providing a gateway into the mining and heavy machinery industry. We welcome candidates with or without experience—your salary will be determined based on your qualifications and skills.

The role is predominantly Monday-Friday, however, there will be regular travel to mine sites to perform service/maintenance on tyre chains. This work is scheduled to be completed within a Monday to Friday framework.

Additional responsibilities include supporting warehouse operations, including picking and packing orders, assisting with logistics and general administrative tasks.

Full training will be provided combining online courses with hands-on field-based learning and supervision.

What you’ll need to be successful:

Possess a current WA driver's license

Be physically fit and healthy

Good work ethic

Competent with basic sales and administration responsibilities including Microsoft office programs.
