About the Role

The primary purpose of the role is to be responsible for the inspection of work completed by contractors and sub-contractors engaged in operational works

Key accountabilities include:

• Responsible for the provision of specialised/technical services
• Demonstrates visible leadership and encourages others to perform at their best.
• Lead a team of contractors and sub-contractors requiring the review and approval of work performed by others.
• Adhere to relevant legislative requirements, policies, and current standards.
• As required represent Council to the public or other organisations.
• Utilise effective communication and persuasive skills when providing advice.
• Daily inspection of work completed by contractors maintaining and restoring the civil asset work program.
• Assist in interviews for permanent and casual staff and induct new staff.
• Complete customer request investigations, organised completion of works, if required, and upload completion reports
• Carry out compliance inspections of vehicular crossings, asset restorations and the Works Improvement Program
• Carry out cost estimates and manage work order processes, including inspecting work completed by contractors.

About You

• Experience with civil asset maintenance
• Experience as a Project Officer
• Trade qualification or Certificate IV in a related field
• Extensive experience in the application of skills in all aspects of the job
• Stakeholder engagement experience
• Current class ‘C’ driver's licence
• 3x Covid Vaccinations
