GVC are providing recruitment services to a truly wonderful Vet Practice based in Devonport, Tasmania: Forbes Street Vets. We are seeking a Director Veterinarian.
Are you an experienced Director Veterinarian or looking to further your career and move into a leadership position?
Join this passionate & dedicated management team, which is responsible for the professional management of all clinical operations. Clinical operations include managing, training, developing, and supervising 11 veterinary associates and nursing staff, as well as being hands-on in the delivery of veterinary services to patients.
The position would suit a mixed or companion animal veterinarian keen to work in a small animal environment
The Benefits
Clinic hours Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm and currently no afterhours (referred to emergency clinics)

Staff will receive over the counter items such as food, flea, and worming treatment at cost +10% +GST
Continuing Education leave with contributions towards skills development and external courses

About this role
As Director Veterinarian you will be responsible for maintaining the patient care and driving high clinical standards. You will work closely with the support of a skilled team and the passionate Business Team in the day-to-day running of the clinic. You will be a member of the management team responsible for the professional management of all clinical operations as well as being hands-on in the delivery of veterinary services to patients and clients according to Forbes St Vets high standards of care.
You will be fully supported in your progression with their Leadership Development Program and the strong supportive network of peers from other industry leading clinics in Cenversa.
About you
You have 4+ years’ vet experience and have demonstrated mentoring and management capabilities
You are ready to move up into a leadership role and are enthusiastic about leading a team
You are looking for a modern, well-equipped clinic and the ability to practise medicine to a high standard
You are looking to be part of a great team who you can collaborate on cases but are also excited about mentoring the next generation of vets

This wonderful vet practice has a strong team of qualified and registered veterinary nurses and trainees and enjoy a 1:2 vet to support staff ratio. Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Veterinary degree accredited by the Tasmanian Veterinary Board.
Generous salary package including a minimum base salary of $160,000 (+ depending on experience) + Superannuation contributions
