Compliance & Assurance Specialist position
Base Salary $140,913 - $148,684 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Compliance and Assurance Specialist provides strategic oversight, expert guidance, and senior stakeholder engagement for compliance and assurance activities within University Infrastructure (UI).
Reporting to the Compliance and Assurance Manager, this role leads complex compliance projects, development of local protocols, to enhance governance, risk management, assurance across UI.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- lead strategic compliance and assurance initiatives and ensure alignment with university policies and legislative requirements
- lead compliance and assurance governance activities, including second line of defence compliance reviews
- develop and provide expert advice on local protocols aligned with university policies and procedures
- oversee reporting to maintain visibility of UI's compliance status through regular reports and briefings
- engage with senior management, fostering collaborative relationships and enhancing organisational compliance culture.
About you
- substantial industry experience (up to 5 years experience) in a large, multidisciplinary environment
- demonstrated skills and experience as an effective part of a high performance team with the ability and willingness to contribute valuable opinions to broader organisational strategies in management meetings
- demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, evaluate and adapt strategic initiatives in a changing higher education and industry environment.
