About the opportunity
The Compliance and Assurance Officer supports the operational delivery of compliance and assurance activities, providing essential analytical, administrative, and compliance management support to University Infrastructure (UI).
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- offer specialised counsel to internal stakeholders and external partners on best practices, ensuring clarity and understanding of relevant compliance matters
- lead the interpretation and application of internal policies and external legislation, ensuring the university's operations align with current regulations and standards
- oversee comprehensive investigations or assessments in relevant domains, ensuring thoroughness, accuracy, and fairness in findings and recommendations
- direct the development, dissemination, and updating of informational resources, tools, and materials to promote awareness, understanding, and adherence to pertinent compliance matters
- lead the team with clarity and direction, ensuring consistent guidance that fosters achievement and proactive problem-solving.
About you
- proven expertise in compliance and assurance business process improvement design and implementation, control and verification management in a diverse environment with multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
- excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, navigate diplomatically to resolve problems and achieve the required outcomes and effectively deliver results
- demonstrated skills and experience as an effective part of a high-performance senior management team with the ability and willingness to contribute valuable opinions to broader organisational strategies in management meetings
- demonstrated expertise in ISO standards, with technical capability in systems (SharePoint, Power BI).
