The Opportunity

AFDO has partnered with The Co-Operative Federation to run an exciting pilot supporting people with disability to develop and launch their own co-operative businesses (eg, in art, design or baking). As Project Coordinator, you will take the lead on planning and implementing all day-to-day aspects of the project. You will work closely with participants with disability, community mentors, and partners to ensure activities are inclusive, accessible, and progress smoothly. You will track and report on project milestones and outcomes to ensure you deliver success with this pilot initiative.

About You

You have a strong commitment to principles of accessibility, equity, and intersectionality. Ideally you have lived experience of disability or alternatively, a strong understanding of disability inclusion. With experience in a similar role, you will leverage your experience in community development, co-design to bring together and support small groups to drive outcomes and well as engage with diverse stakeholders. You have previous success with coordinating projects, based on your organisational skills and ability to be flexible with changing project needs. You are ICT-literate and adept with database management and the Microsoft suite.

As this is a fully remote work environment, you will need suitable home office facilities and reliable internet/phone coverage. You will also need a Working With Child Check and National Police Check.
