About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the WABS team as a Business Support Consultant, where you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring to promote a positive team environment including diversity of opinions which encourages creativity and innovation.
  • The monitoring and management of vacancies within expenditure budgets and FTE capacity, whilst communicating financial or human resource issues to the division.
  • Maintaining regular communication with the correct WCHN staff to ensure updated information is shared within the division.
  • Preparation of journals, invoices, OPS coding and approval within delegation are developed and maintained.
  • Perform investigations and provide advice when requests are made from Finance and Cost Centre Managers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, staff, external agencies, and members of the public, both face to face and over the telephone demonstrating a high level of interpersonal skills.
  • Sound experience in the use of personal computers, computer software packages and interrelated systems appropriate to an accounting/Human Resources environment including proficient keyboard skills.
  • Providing a responsive financial and/or human resources management, consultative/advisory service to a diverse range of staff.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant Acts, Awards and Legislation and principles and practices as they relate to this role.
  • Possess basic analytical, research and technical skills and an approach to work which emphasises accuracy and thoroughness.
