A high-profile regulatory organisation in the financial services sector is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable and Compliance professional for a key 12-month contract. This opportunity offers a unique blend of operational finance and internal controls responsibilities, ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, compliance-driven environment. Key Responsibilities
- Levy and revenue billing
- Invoicing, reconciliations, and collections
- Maintaining accurate AR records and resolving discrepancies
- Annual testing and troubleshooting of the billing engine
- Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Receivable function including:
- Manage fortnightly Accounts Payable compliance checks
- Conduct quarterly reviews of AP and Procurement processes
- Report on any compliance breaches and control gaps
- Support external audits (ANAO) with financial records and responses
- Contribute to the financial integrity of the organisation in line with legislative requirements
You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in Accounts Receivable and billing management within a regulatory, government or large corporate environment
- Strong understanding of AP compliance and internal financial controls
- Ability to manage high-volume processing with accuracy and timeliness
- High attention to detail, excellent time management and strong problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with experience managing external audit relationships
- Experience with Oracle Financials (particularly AR, AP and billing engine) highly desirable
- Knowledge of relevant financial legislation is advantageous
- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred)
