Our client is a leading National industrial equipment supplier distributing to a wide range of sectors. Located in Brookvale they are close to public transport and parking is provided.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for allocation of payments and answering customer account related queries as well as liaising with multiple business stakeholders and third parties. Other duties will include:

• Processing accounts receivable transactions
• Acting as first point of contact for customer queries
• Generating reports and statement of accounts on a monthly basis
• Liaising with the Customer Service teams & BDM's Nationally to ensure that all credit claims are processed in a timely manner and that outstanding payments are resolved
• Processing debtor receipts and following up outstanding debts
• Revising & reconciling outstanding debtors
• Documenting all changes in the AR Master File as required
• Liaising with auditors in relation to any requests pertaining to the debtors ledger
• Utilising credit control measures to ensure credit is not extended when account is outside of agreed payment terms
• Providing daily banking updates to management
• Reconciling key customer accounts addressing short payments, requests for POD's, price discrepancies and credit requests

To be considered you will have 3-5 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience, strong analytical ability, good communication skills, high attention to detail and strong Microsoft Word & Excel skills. Experience in a similar industry or the Building/Contractor sector involving job costing with progress/milestone payments (including retentions) is highly desirable.

This is a temporary office-based role available for an immediate start with an anticipated assignment length until July. There is the possibility of a permanent position after this period. Hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm and a guide on the hourly pay rate is $35.00 - $45.00 + Super dependent on experience. The permanent salary guide would be $85,000 + Super.
