The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Receivables Accountant will play a key role in managing the accounts receivable function and ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Process admissions, banking, receipting, and refunds
• Manage residential, community, and ILU billing
• Follow up on ageing debtors to reduce outstanding balances
• Update financial systems for fee changes
• Reconcile resident accounts and process discharges
• Perform monthly reconciliations of allocated balance sheet accounts
• Respond to internal and external queries in a timely manner
• Coordinate funding workflows and reconcile with Medicare
• Support finance projects as directed by the Finance Manager
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company policies

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Accounts Receivable or Billings
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with Epicor (highly regarded)
• Understanding of the Health and/or Aged Care sectors
