We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Officer to join our team and help to deliver end-to-end payroll services with precision, integrity, and professionalism. This role is crucial in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, and that all payroll activities align with relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, and internal policies.

- administer end-to-end payroll accurately and on time.
- maintain payroll records and handle queries - respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related enquiries from employees and external stakeholders.
- support audits, reporting, and process improvements – with a focus on accuracy, compliance and integrity.
What you'll bring/what we are looking for
You are a proactive, detail-oriented person with a focus on compliance and service excellence. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for supporting others. You'll have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently and accurately process end to end payroll function, including processing wages, allowances, STP, superannuation and WorkCover.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- An understanding of EAs and industrial award.
- Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and professional standards.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to provide and report accurate information and reports.
- A demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and the impact of the payroll functions.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Pre-employment requirements
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) (Previously known as a police check)
What we offer:
- A permanent part time position, working 22.8 hours/3 days per week - Friday is required for payroll finalising.
- Flexible work arrangements that support personal well-being alongside professional commitments.
- Salary $46,671.55 to $54,049.99 per annum plus super (for comparison at full time this would be $77,785.93 - $90,083.32 per annum plus super).

- 18 weeks of paid parental leave - primary carer/2 weeks of paid parental leave - partner .
