A well-established civil construction company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Civil Estimator to support its growing portfolio of infrastructure projects across New South Wales. Specialising in roadworks, drainage, earthworks, and utilities, the team is known for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. This role will be based at Rossmore, NSW.

Job Responsibilities:

The Civil Estimator will play a key role in managing the end-to-end tendering process for civil construction projects. You’ll collaborate with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting successful project wins.

Manage the full tender process, from cost take-offs to final submission

Analyse drawings, specs, and scope to determine accurate labour, materials, and equipment needs

Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes

Prepare and maintain Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and tender documentation

Identify risks and opportunities to ensure competitive and compliant pricing

Support project handovers and provide input into planning and delivery

Maintain cost databases and support continuous improvement in estimating practices

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Civil Estimator within civil infrastructure or related construction fields

Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and Australian standards

Proficiency with estimating software and Excel

Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills

Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

Experience with council/government infrastructure tenders

Familiarity with utilities, drainage, roadworks, or bulk earthworks

Working knowledge of project platforms such as Procore or similar
