About the role:
We are looking for an experienced HR professional to work in a HR Business Partner/Manager role with our client - a predominant mid-tier accounting firm in Brisbane with about 80 people. You will be the main point of contact for the client's Directors, Managers and other staff for any HR questions and needs. You will be accountable for the provision of accurate and timely human resource management services and advice, and will take a lead role in nurturing and supporting the client. Experience with an accounting firm or professional services is highly desirable.
The role is Part-Time, 3 days per week, based on site at our client's office in the CBD. This is a hands-on role, where you will oversee the HR team and be reporting to the HR Director. You will be supported by other HR team members who will work on HR projects with the HR Director to ensure you can continue to manage the 'Business As Usual' across the firm.
You will be involved in all HR functions of the client including but not limited to:
Managing the HR office
Implementing the strategic plan of the company and managing the risks
Oversee all recruitment activities conducted by the team
Provide expert advice on a range of human resource queries
Assisting with coaching and empowering the client's managers on all aspects of people management
Stay up to date with legislation and positive duty obligations
Facilitating training
Manage regular HR meetings across the different teams, and implement actions accordingly
Award interpretation and research
Manage the industry body professional qualification program (CA ANZ)
Support and promote internal HR initiatives
Manage, review and approve the work of the HR Coordinator
While you are managing this client, you will occasionally be required to assist your team members and Director with other clients across different industries.
About you:
Degree qualified in Human Resources or equivalent
10+ years experience in HR
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Solid Employee Relations experience
Technically savvy and curious to boot (HRIS experience is advantageous)
Switched on to the world of HR, current issues and the people you work with every day
Have strong commercial acumen
Team-orientated approach with a willingness to support the broader HR team as needed
