Public Sector People are working with a government organisation in Brisbane CBD, who are seeking an experienced Human Resource Advisor/BP on a 4 month Temp contract with opportunity to go direct with the client afterwards and apply for the permanent position within the Team.

The Human Resources Officer (HRO) position is attached to the ITP business Unit. This a two-person HR team - the Workforce Lead has a strategic HR focus and the HRO has a tactical HR focus. HR processing activities undertaking by a team of Business Support Officers that also undertake finance and office administration duties.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Undertake training needs analysis activities and assist with preparing workforce operational plans.
• Provide contemporary, best practice human resources advice and support to business unit staff on tactical human resources matters including
• Assist with implementing workforce initiatives associated with building a sustainable high-performance and safe workplace culture and growing a strong employee value proposition.

About you:

• A solid human resource generalist with experience in providing advice on workforce management policies and practices, coordinating recruitment, and analysis of workforce data.
• Experience in working in a Human resources business partnership approach, including advising, coaching, and facilitating.
• Great interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement and experience in preparing and reviewing workforce business cases.
