Purchasing/ Warehouse Manager – Multi-Venue Hospitality Operations (SSP Australia)
Reporting to the General Manager, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Purchasing/ Warehouse Manager to head up one of our largest multi-venue operations in Australia. Our Brisbane International & Domestic Airport operation consists of 500+ Team Members across the below venues:

• Newstead Brewing Co. Airport Taphouse

• The Local
• Mica
• The Common
• Graze Grill & Bar
• Coffee Royal
• Seeds by Bruno Loubet
• The Food Collective (QSR's)
• New venues opening in 2025/2026

About the Role
In this hands-on role, you will oversee a team of 8 team members in the daily operations of our large multi-venue hospitality operation located at Brisbane Airport. Daily duties will include inventory management, liaising with suppliers, and supporting your team with daily deliveries, transfers and orders for each venue. Your ability to maintain efficient stock control and a well-organized storage location will be well regarded.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, inspect, and process deliveries, ensuring compliance with purchase orders and invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming goods, deliveries and stock levels using Check Inventory Management system.
• Ensure timely distribution of goods to respective venues while upholding SSP's safety and compliance standards.
• Manage stock movement, conduct regular stocktakes, and oversee inventory reports.
• Work closely with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and oversee return processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized loading dock, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to.
• Support the General Manager and Executive Chef in overseeing all purchasing and receiving functions.
• Uphold compliance with local legislation, internal audit standards, and SSP policies.
• Foster a positive work environment that prioritizes efficiency, teamwork, and professional growth.
What We're Looking for
• Demonstrated experience of achieving on or above business KPIs- stocktake, out of stock (par levels), delivering to stores on a timely manner and wastage data entry accuracy
• Demonstrated experience in processing invoices on a timely manner
• Proven expertise on performance management and development of the warehouse team
• Proven successful in adhering and managing food safety and WH&S compliance of warehouse team
• Experience in controlling all operating costs in line with your area of responsibility as per targets set by your line manager
• Proven experience in manual lifting and moving stock continuously
• Excellent organisation skills, time management and an eye for detail and accuracy
• A genuine and honest, “can do” approach to all interactions
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
