Role Overview:

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to lead a large-scale infrastructure uplift and cyber transformation project. You will take ownership of delivery outcomes across initiatives such as cloud migration, network refreshes, security hardening, and platform stabilisation.

This is an EL1-equivalent role with a strategic focus on execution, risk management, and technical alignment, operating in an agile, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

ICT Delivery & Technical Oversight

Manage complex projects in infrastructure, cyber security, cloud platforms, and networking.

Oversee all aspects of delivery including scope, scheduling, governance reporting, and vendor engagement.

Collaborate with technical leads and architects to ensure solution alignment.

Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership

Build productive relationships with internal business leaders, vendors, and operational teams.

Lead and mentor cross-disciplinary delivery teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.

Influence decision-making through structured reporting, briefings, and issue resolution.

Project Governance & Planning

Maintain detailed project artefacts: project plans, WBS, risks, budgets, and benefits tracking.

Ensure compliance with internal governance and Commonwealth reporting standards.

Support procurement processes and contract evaluations as part of project execution.

Eligibility Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years’ experience leading infrastructure-heavy ICT projects (e.g. data centres, cloud transitions, OS/network refreshes)

Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills

Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing vendor contributions

Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity in a fast-paced setting

Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Baseline security clearance are mandatory

Relevant certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) and prior government experience are highly regarded
