Your role:

Transdev Sydney Ferries require an experienced Networks and Systems Engineer who will monitor and understand the Sydney Ferries’ security network architecture and provide full support across the asset lifecycle.

As the Networks and Systems Engineer, you will be in charge of the management, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of all associated software and security systems to ensure critical system failures are mitigated.

Other responsibilities include:

· Trouble shooting and fault finding of IT network, including hardware and software systems to ensure digital video recording is not compromised.

· Understand complex network systems and set up system architecture of new assets.

· Provide appropriate support to assets engineering team to achieve their maintenance goals.

· Provide support for the project management, integration, testing and deployment of wharf and vessel upgrade projects involving the CCTV system and the broader IT network.

· Develop plans for network maintenance and testing.

· Manage configuration changes to the IT network and system architecture.

· Perform routine maintenance and inspections of security systems to ensure optimal performance.

· Perform planned and corrective maintenance of IP CCTV network systems across our fleet of ferries and ferry wharves around Sydney harbour.

· Liase with TDSF Control Centre, IT team and our Monitoring Centre at Rydalmere for offline notifications and other CCTV network issues daily.

· Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities.

· Maintain high standards of work and safety.

The talent you bring:

· 2 years’ of demonstrated prior experience with Genetec CCTV system.

· Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology particularly in Networking or equivalent

· High level knowledge of networking hardware of various types and network programming

· Solid understanding of both installation and maintenance of CCTV system

· High level awareness of CCTV security architecture for TDSF Ferry vessels

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability manage direct stakeholders to negotiate favourable outcomes.

· Proactive approach in accomplishing task to the highest standards under minimal supervision

· An excellent team player approach
