You’ll be a key player in maintaining and optimising network performance, ensuring smooth business operations whilst also getting involved in global projects and rollouts.

The opportunity:

This is a 3-4-month fixed-term contract opportunity as a Network Engineer.

You’ll be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, and security of the company’s enterprise network infrastructure. You will work independently, troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and ensuring network stability.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys problem-solving.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues, outages, and security threats.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Cisco networking equipment, including Cisco Meraki switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Monitor network health and performance using network monitoring tools to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Maintain network security best practices, including firewall configurations, VLAN segmentation, and VPN management.
  • Administer backup and recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Implement security policies and monitor for potential vulnerabilities.

What You’ll Need

  • Min 3 years of experience as a Network Administrator or Engineer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment, including Cisco Meraki configuration.
  • Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with firewalls, VLAN management, and VPN configurations.
  • Familiarity with WAN technologies such as MPLS, E1s, and Microwave.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter, managing priorities and troubleshooting issues proactively.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to support internal teams and external vendors.
