We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Clinical Nurse to join our Team on a part-time or full-time basis. Your responsibility, under the guidance of the Facility Manager is to manage the overall provision of quality clinical care. You will assist the Facility Manager in the leadership, mentoring and operational direction for staff.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Minimum of three years’ experience in CN position within a Residential Aged Care Service.

Demonstrated understanding and exposure to the new Aged Care Quality standards.

Working knowledge of Quality Assurance Programs.

Proven communicator with all levels of management, staff, care recipients and their representatives.

Highly developed interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, particularly in the development and maintenance of relationships with older people, general practitioners and other healthcare providers.

Effective communication encouraging each resident and their representative’s involvement in the development and implementation of care plans.

Ensuring the delivery of high quality and personalised care to all residents

Developing, monitoring, and implementing nurse care plans + assessing, planning, and evaluating existing care plans for residents with complex needs

Performing comprehensive assessments and investigating issues and incidents.

Participating in and ensuring all compliance is adhered to in accordance with aged care standards and Serene’s policies and procedures.

Approachable leadership by example, mentoring a multi-disciplinary team across the clinical and care realm.

Maintain current knowledge of legislated and best practice requirements and changes.

Participate in end-to-end recruitment, replacement and assessment of employees as required.
