About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in Aboriginal health and wellbeing? We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aboriginal Clinical Nurse to join our team within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) Integrated Care services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop from a novice to a proficient practitioner, as you provide nursing and/or midwifery care across various health service settings. You’ll consolidate your knowledge and grow your capability through continuous professional development and hands-on experience, all while being supported in a collaborative and dynamic environment. As a valued member of the team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of practice, delegating appropriately, and guiding junior staff.

With a strong focus on Aboriginal clients with complex health needs, this role supports both acute and sub-acute care responses, aiming to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions. You’ll work closely with both Government and Non-Government organisations to ensure vulnerable individuals receive the coordinated and integrated care they need. Your work will span a range of services and sites, providing flexibility and variety in your daily practice. If you're committed to culturally safe care and making a meaningful impact in the community, we’d love to hear from you.

About You

You are a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse or Midwife who is passionate about delivering high-quality, culturally safe care. You thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to working collaboratively to support the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal clients with complex needs. To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current registration (or eligibility) with the Nursing Board of Australia

Minimum 3 years of post-registration experience in a clinical setting

Strong communication, problem-solving and clinical assessment skills

Proven ability to work flexibly, prioritise effectively and lead within a multidisciplinary team

  • Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
