The Club Hotel is having a complete makeover and is ready to relaunch. We are looking for a Head Chef & Kitchen team to re - open and deliver a new standard in pub dining in Bundaberg. Always known as the ‘home of Bundy’s best steaks’ it's a reputation we live by.

Key Responsibilities

Managing Food COGS & kitchen stock control

Delivering seasonal menu changes within GP margins

Ensuring the quality of all meals and food items from the preparation to the presentation stages.

Ability to demonstrate proper techniques and provide guidance to others with preparing, cooking, freezing and preserving foods.

Maintaining open lines of communication with Management, kitchen and wait staff for all food preparation, dietary, and specific requests.

Working with the kitchen team to ensure that all hygiene regulations are adhered to and maintained.

Preparing and cooking food

Knowledge required:

Recipe costing

Strong communication and time management skills

A high level of attention to detail

Reliable, Presentable, and Punctual

Capability to perform in a fast-paced Kitchen

A passion for food and the ability to deliver outstanding dishes

Proven experience in a fast-paced Kitchen environment

Qualification and experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Certificate III commercial cookery or equivalent.

Experience in leading a kitchen team.
