We currently have an exciting opportunity to join North Metropolitan Health Service, Facilities Management team in the position of Electrical Project & Power Specialist - this fulltime permanent opportunity is ideal for a highly competent, Electrical Trades HV professional who is career orientated and has worked within a similar role.
You will play a pivotal role in keeping key Electrical Services operational for several site locations, have a practical ‘hands on’ approach and technical understanding of Electrical Power Infrastructure, manage, and implement Quality and Safety, Risk, Quality Assurance and Electrical maintenance management plans. You shall have significant knowledge and experience with High and Low voltage systems within a large complex facility, provide consultation and oversight to High Voltage related projects and can converse within a multidiscipline team and stakeholder environment.

In line with this NMHS is looking for an enthusiastic person that has a dedicated experience and subject matter expertise with HV maintenance and Power Generation Infrastructure.
About this role
Reporting to the Area Manager Facilities Assurance and Risk, your accountabilities will include:
In accordance with the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) Facilities Management (FM) Service Delivery and Operating Plans,
- Maintains High Voltage (HV) electrical supply and other critical electrical support for infrastructure to ensure continuous operations for multiple NMHS sites.
- Managing the implementation of the NMHS Electrical Maintenance Management Plans, Assurance Plans and Facility Management Frameworks.
- Provide subject matter expert advice in relation to electrical design, installation, repairs and maintenance.
- Leading, implementing, and maintaining Facilities Management adherence to, and assurance with, relevant Acts, Regulations, Standards, Codes, and best practice through the delivery and application of documented risk management, quality assurance and performance improvement plans.
The successful applicant will:
- Have sound experience with maintenance of HV Electrical and Power Generation systems.
- Be a highly capable team player who is motivated to collaborate with a range of stakeholders both internal and external, to contribute to successful outcomes and to ensure that everyone goes home safe every day.
- Be competent, self-motivated professional with experience either within a Health Facility or a similar role within a large Hospital or Health Care Environment.
- Have communication and engagement skills within a multidisciplinary
- Have strong organisation skills
- A solid record of achieving results through influence, coaching and mentoring.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
