About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at The Criterion Hotel Motel in Rockhampton, Queensland. This is a casual role, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment.

What you'll be doing

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner

Handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently

Respond to guest inquiries and provide information about the hotel's facilities and local attractions

Assist with making reservations and processing payments

Maintain a tidy and organised front desk area

Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive guest experience

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer service or reception role, preferably in the hospitality industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with guests of all backgrounds

Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities

Proficient in using hotel management software and computer systems

A friendly, professional and customer-focused attitude

Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required

Experienced in accurately reconciling tills, ensuring financial accuracy and adhering to cash handling procedures, with a strong ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
