MARS Recruitment is partnering with a leading financial services company to find a Senior Financial Accountant. Join a dynamic team of finance professionals spanning Australia and New Zealand, responsible for delivering comprehensive financial reporting services. This includes regulatory, management, board, and tax reporting across the region.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in analysing complex data, delivering insights, and making strategic recommendations to foster the organisation's growth and success. Key responsibilities include managing financial and regulatory reporting, supporting budgeting, business structuring, cash flow, and tax planning activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing financial reports for local entities, including annual financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory reports.
• Performing regulatory reporting calculations and supporting the Financial Controller in navigating ongoing regulatory developments.
• Delivering insightful analysis of financial data to support local finance and business units.
• Assisting the Financial Controller with budgeting and forecasting, business structuring, funding and cash flow planning, and tax strategies.
• Providing support on a range of ad hoc finance projects.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver strong business partnering outcomes.

The Requirements:

• CA, CPA or CFA qualification preferred.
• 5+ years' experience, ideally within banking or financial services.
• Exposure to local regulatory reporting is highly regarded.
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent time management and clear communication across all mediums.
