About The Opportunity

As an Accountant reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day accounting functions to ensure compliance with legislative requirements. You will also provide strategic support to align with the group's goals. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and conducting reviews prior to submission
• Performing end-of-month data entry and related reconciliations
• Reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts across multiple entities
• Conducting cash flow forecasting, budgeting and scenario modelling
• Reviewing and submitting BAS/IAS for multiple entities
• Conducting cost control, analysis and support payroll functions
• Utilising cost accounting expertise to improve internal processes
• Preparing external reports for third parties
• Providing general administrative support and maintaining control systems

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce and undertaking post-graduate study as a CA/CPA
• Experience in Management Accounting or a Cost Accounting role is essential
• A strong commitment to using your knowledge to assist stakeholders
• High attention to detail and ownership of results
• A proactive approach to tackling challenges in a dynamic business environment
• Experience in the automotive industry (advantageous)
