We’re on the lookout for an experienced, proactive Practice Manager to join our progressive Orthopaedic Specialist team based within the prestigious St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital. This is more than just a management role—it’s a chance to lead with purpose, elevate patient care, and help shape the future of a high-performing private surgical practice.

Our clinic is led by a respected Orthopaedic Surgeon who’s recognised both nationally and internationally for innovation in robotic hip and knee replacements. This role offers the unique opportunity to work alongside a specialist at the forefront of his field, in an environment where excellence, compassion, and continuous improvement are key.

What you’ll be doing:
You’ll take the reins on day-to-day clinic operations, creating clarity and calm in a fast-paced setting. With your exceptional leadership and organisational skills, you’ll oversee the admin team—bringing structure, support and a strong sense of purpose to every aspect of the practice.

You’ll play a critical role in refining systems and ensuring the practice runs efficiently—so our team can focus on what matters most: delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in practice management, medical administration, or healthcare operations

Sound knowledge of healthcare compliance, Medicare billing, private health, and specialist billing procedures

Strong leadership capabilities with experience in staff recruitment, training, and performance management

Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Competence in budget management, medical record systems, and financial reporting

Proficiency in medical software (Clinic to Cloud preferred, though experience in Best Practice, Genie or similar is also valued)

A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to contribute to projects and initiatives that support innovation, elevate the patient experience, and grow the practice

Who You Are:

You’re a natural organiser, a thoughtful leader, and a calm presence who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You bring warmth, integrity, and a solutions-focused mindset to every task, and you care deeply about patient outcomes and team wellbeing.

If you’re ready to step into a pivotal role within a progressive and well-respected surgical practice, we’d love to hear from you.
