Position Summary

This is a residential role. Only applicants currently residing in Kalgoorlie-Boulder will be considered.

With the growth of our organisation, an opportunity has arisen for a Vehicle Officer to be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of our fleet vehicles. This includes scheduling, regular servicing and repair bookings, as well as overseeing fueling, cleaning, and general vehicle upkeep.

You will ensure that all vehicles are roadworthy, comply with current legislation, and meet Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards. A key part of your role will be to ensure that all fleet vehicles are prepared and available for support staff at the start of each day and are securely and appropriately parked at the end of each shift.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate regular vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.

Ensure all vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and fully prepared for daily use.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with relevant legislation and OH&S requirements.

Maintain accurate records of vehicle use, maintenance history, fuel consumption, and repairs.

Coordinate with external service providers for mechanical work, detailing, and inspections.

Ensure all vehicles are available and ready for staff at the start of each day.

Monitor and manage vehicle bookings, availability, and usage schedules.

Maintain fortnightly & Monthly reporting

Report and follow up on any vehicle damage, faults, or incidents.

Ensure vehicles are parked securely and appropriately at the end of each day.

Manage vehicle insurance claims and related documentation

Assist in implementing and enforcing fleet policies and procedures.

General Administration Duties

Some Customer service engagement

Carry out duties in accordance with Equal Opportunity legislation and GIFSA’s Association Code of Conduct

Adhere to GIFSA’s policies and procedures

Apply and promote a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Report all hazards, incidents, accidents and near misses to your manager

All other duties as directed by your manager
