Summary
As the Director of Care, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care. You'll oversee clinical governance, staff management, bed occupancy, and compliance, while driving continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with the latest aged care quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support care and allied health teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
• Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and operational performance
• Manage staff recruitment, rostering, and performance to ensure appropriate skill mix and coverage
• Maintain occupancy targets and work closely with referral networks
• Ensure compliance with AN-ACC documentation and funding guidelines
• Drive continuous quality improvement and accreditation readiness
• Foster open communication with residents, families, and external stakeholders
• Promote a culture of safety, respect, and collaboration across the organisation

What We're Looking For

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Experience in aged care leadership, preferably in a Facility Manager or similar role
• Strong knowledge of AN-ACC, aged care standards, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
• A sound understanding of budgeting, financial oversight, and resource management
• Postgraduate qualifications in Gerontology, Health Care Management or similar (desirable)
• Current Police Check, COVID vaccination, and valid Driver’s Licence (or willingness to obtain)
