Job Summary
An experienced Warehouse Team Leader is needed to run daily warehouse, stock, and local freight. This role focuses on high customer satisfaction through good goods handling, accurate stock, and strong team leadership. The aim is to ensure daily operations exceed performance targets and help the company succeed. This is a hands-on role for someone active and team-oriented.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Lead and manage the warehouse team, including directing tasks, coaching, and managing staffing and workloads, under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with OHS legislation and safe work practices, and that goods meet quality standards.
- Manage all aspects of inventory, including organizing storage areas, maintaining precise stock records, and implementing stock control to minimize errors.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight efficiently and cost-effectively to meet or exceed delivery schedules.
- Measure and report on warehouse effectiveness and employee performance, maintain records, and utilize reports to track warehouse status.
- Identify and implement improvements to work procedures for ongoing quality and efficiency, and collaborate with management on assessing new technologies or systems
Requirements and Skills:
- Demonstrated track record in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Certified and proficient in forklift operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- A proactive, on-the-floor work style.
- Capability to articulate and prove how you can exceed key performance indicators.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and MS Office.
- Proficient in managing data, including entry, extraction, and examination.
- Effective at organizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
Working Hours:
- Standard hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
