Principal Property Officer - Property Services
- Initial contract to 30th June 2026
- Full time 36.25 hours, Monday to Friday

Randstad Recruitment is proudly partnering with the Queensland Government to recruit a Principal Property Officer. As Principal Property Officer, you will join the a Property team overseeing the leasing and tenure of an extensive property portfolio.
You will be responsible for conducting detailed site assessments, delivering high-level property advice, and leading property-related projects. A key part of your role will be liaising with diverse stakeholders from legal and procurement teams to regionaladvisors, landowners, and local governments to facilitate formalising necessary property agreements and tenure arrangements.

Duties:
- Lead the review and risk assessment of departmental property tenure and develop a program of works for implementation.
- Provide high-level analysis and due diligence to identify property risks and opportunities.
- Develop and streamline property systems and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Deliver sound property, tenure, and planning advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage complex property projects using a structured project management approach.
- Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders including government departments, councils, and private landholders.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in property tenure, leasing, conveyancing, or government land transactions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to navigate complex property negotiations.
- High-level written and research skills, including experience preparing briefs and reports.
- Knowledge of Queensland property legislation and policy is highly desirable.
- Project management capabilities, with an ability to deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualifications or experience in property, planning, law, or related fields will be highly regarded but not mandatory.
